Helping Churches Establish Places to Gather

Some congregations meet in homes or outdoors. We help with approved land purchases and basic roofing needs, working alongside congregations that contribute materials and labor.

The purpose is to strengthen locally led churches and provide places where communities can gather for worship, teaching, and fellowship.

Current Priorities

From September through the end of 2026, we will support:

  1. Establishment of 10 new churches through outreach, follow-up, and practical assistance.

  2. Training and mentoring of pastors and ministry leaders, including opportunities for theological study.

  3. Printing and distribution of approximately 6,000 Chichewa copies of There’s No One Like Jesus.

We follow progress through regular conversations, ministry reports, and documentation from Paul and his team.

Recent Ministry Activity

In September and October 2026, Paul recorded 3,390 books distributed through outreach in 12 villages and 32 baptisms at Kauzu and Tambala churches.

Our Work in Malawi

Supporting local churches, equipping ministry leaders, and sharing Christian literature.

A Relationship Built Over Time

More than 15 years ago, Blake Western met Paul Namfuko while Paul was interpreting on a mission trip to Malawi. Their shared commitment to Christian ministry led to an enduring friendship.

Carter Hemphill also met Paul while working in Malawi. For the past six years, Carter and Blake have partnered with Paul to coordinate the use and distribution of Blake's publications. These longstanding relationships are the foundation of our current collaboration.

Christian Books in Local Hands

Christian literature is central to this ministry. Blake Western’s There’s No One Like Jesus, translated into Chichewa, provides a resource for sharing the Gospel and helping people grow in their faith.

Readers use the book to teach families, lead small groups, and disciple others in their communities. Our support helps make these resources available through local ministry leaders and village outreach.

Equipping Local Leaders

We support training and mentoring for pastors, evangelists, and emerging church leaders.

Through workshops, ministry visits, and theological education, leaders receive help with biblical teaching, discipleship, and the practical responsibilities of serving a congregation.
